The Middle ages: It started between 450 AD to 1400 AD. It was the most unstable sturdy periods in history. It first started with the battle of Hastings and Norman Conquest. The tools and or weapons that they used was simple tools like arrows and medieval warfare technology like canons. During this period they had many powerful kings such as Henry II and Edward III. Although they had war many years between England and France which lead the middle ages to have a bad black death which plagued the period .
Every man was expected to be able to use weapons during the middle ages. Basically there was only 2 types of men, the knights and the foot soldiers. The training that happened during this time divided the men from cowards to warriors. The mideviel was famous for their fortresses and their warlords. Their castles described the strength and invincibility. |
The Renaissance: 1400 AD to 1750 AD. The word renaissance mean rebirth, and is the period in European Civilization directly following the Middle ages. They also witnessed The discovery and foundation of new continents. The weapons that they used was swords and armor but armor was used for hunting, tournaments, and parade costumes. Renaissance was famous for their art. The style of painting and sculpture identified how they came from Italy.
The foundation of the renaissance art can be traced from Italy. It was also called proto-renaissance. Some of the famous artist looked back to ancient Greece and Rome and sought to revive the languages. Leonardo DA vinci famous for his work practiced all his visual arts and studied a wide range of topics. |
